Cordero di Montezemolo Monfalletto Barolo is a traditionally styled Barolo from the La Morra commune, produced exclusively from estate-grown Nebbiolo grapes. This single-estate Barolo originates from the historic Monfalletto vineyard, a 28-hectare plot owned by the Cordero di Montezemolo family for over six centuries. The vineyard’s varied elevations and soils—primarily calcareous clay with marl—contribute to the wine’s structure, aromatics, and aging potential.

This vintage Barolo is made from 100% Nebbiolo cultivated in the Barolo DOCG, vinified in stainless steel and aged in both large Slavonian oak casks and smaller French barrels for around two years. The extended aging process refines the wine’s tannic profile and enhances its layered complexity.

The wine shows a classic garnet-red hue with subtle brick tones at the rim. Aromas of red cherry, dried rose petal, leather, tobacco, and forest earth define its profile, along with nuances of anise, truffle, and subtle spice. The palate is structured yet refined, with ripe red fruits, integrated tannins, and a mineral-driven finish characteristic of Barolo from La Morra’s limestone soils.

Known for its elegance and balance, Monfalletto Barolo expresses the softer, more perfumed style typical of La Morra, while retaining the depth and longevity expected from top-tier Barolo producers.
