Who but Chantal and Gerard Perse could have had such a wild idea? Plant white grapes in the backyard of one of the Bordeaux’s region’s most prised red wine appellations! Call it Perse’s Folly if you will: this is an amazingly concentrated, flavor packed, near opulent blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and just a splash of the aromatic Muscadelle.
Fermented, stirred and aged in 100% new oak barrels for about eight months, it was bottled unfiltered. Richly scented, vibrantly fruity and mouthfilling, it is no doubt best enjoyed as you might a fine white Burgundy or barrel-fermented Chardonnay! Less than three thousand bottles produced.
