Winery Notes:  Intense, dark fuchsia hues with luminous red flints of color. Aromas of freshly crushed violet flowers envelop a deep core of ripened plums. Racy black berry and espresso flavors are followed by mouthfuls of Chambord and indigo fruits. The finish is balanced with acidity and firm tannins, creating a malbec of great finesse with a lingering impression.

The 2009 Bramare Malbec Rebon Vineyard displays considerably more complexity than the Appellation Malbecs. Captivating aromas of exotic spices, floral notes, and assorted black fruits titillate the nose while pointing to an opulent, plush, pleasure-bent wine with superb volume and length. Give it 2-3 years to fully unwind and drink it from 2014 to 2024.

Vina Cobos is a partnership between Paul Hobbs, Andrea Marchiori, and Luis Barraud. The new releases are further confirmation that Vina Cobos is one of Argentina’s great producers. The Felino label has for a number of years been synonymous with value.

A big, fruit-driven red, serving up heady raspberry ganache, blueberry cobbler and grilled black Mission fig notes that pick up steam through the spice- and smoke-filled finish. Drink now through 2016. 240 cases made. –NW
